Michael is a taxi limousine dispatcher who started TaeKwonDo in 1987. He decided to come back to train with Grandmaster. He brought his son Marty (yellow belt) and niece Daniela (yellow belt) to our school to learn TaeKwonDo as well. He states that they are the reason for him to come back and improve his health.

Elijan Tan
Red/Black Belt Age-7

Hobbies: Likes to play basketball, baseball and swimming

Elijah has been a terrific student during his years of training. He is an excellent listener and behaves well at home and school. He is in 2nd grade and has trained in TaeKwonDo since Kindergarten. He loves to chat with his friends at school.

Charles Chester
Brown Belt

Hobbies:  Charles enjoys computers, science, nature and reading.

Charles Chester is a communications engineer technician who has been training
TaeKwonDo for 1 ½ years with us. He has been married for over 31 years to his wife
and has 3 wonderful children. He is very proud of his family as well as being part of
our school.

Maya Aptekar
Red Belt Age- 8

Hobbies:  Maya enjoys TaeKwonDo, playing the piano, dancing, swimming, singing and reading.

Maya is a 3rd grade student who receives excellent report cards all the time. She is one of our finest students and is always eager to learn and improve. Her leadership skills are progressing as she now
is able to do warmups and help the lower belts. She likes to paint, draw, sketch and is a Brownie member.

Timothy Mahabir
Red Belt Age- 19

Hobbies:  Timothy likes to spend his free time playing the drums, writing poetry and lyrics.

Timothy is a sophomore and psychology major at Nassau Community College. He began his training in TaeKwonDo while
at school in Florida. He came to YH Park TaeKwonDo as a purple belt. He takes pride in trying to help others as much as
possible and wants to make a difference in people’s lives.

Robert Johnson
Brown Belt Age- 9

Hobbies: Robert enjoys riding his bike, playing lacrosse, soccer and football.

Robert is an outstanding TaeKwonDo student who is also a member of the demo team. He always tries his best in class and sets a
good example for the lower belts to follow. Robert is always helping his younger brother William (brown belt) with any problems he has
in his training. He is also a big Mets fan!
