In October of 2009 current and former students, instructors, family and friends of YH Park TaeKwonDo joined together to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the School. The event included an evening of seminars on the meaning of “perseverance” and the Olympic spirit, as well as TaeKwonDo history.
Testimonials highlighted how studying with Grandmaster Park prepared individuals for past and present challenges. How training TaeKwonDo is about creating a community that works together to prepare the mind and body to meet the challenges of life. Discussion included ways to further engage in our communities to raise awareness of how TaeKwonDo can help us in these challenging times.
Participants celebrated in word, and in demonstration, a joy for the art and sport of TaeKwonDo. Students new and old came together from as far away in the past as 20 years and as far away geographically as Korea and the West Coast of the US. What brings this group together across the distance of time and place are strong bonds forged through the common experience of training in the TaeKwonDo of Grandmaster YH Park. |
